Union City, NJ – State Senator and Union City Mayor, Brian P. Stack kicks off his annual civic association turkey drive today through Wednesday.

Last year, through the civic association, Mayor Stack and his army of volunteers delivered over 22,000 turkeys. This year, they anticipate the same or more. The Mayor started this annual tradition at the age of 14 and has continued to deliver turkeys for Thanksgiving for over 30 years.

“Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the things we are grateful for such as our family, our friends and our health, but more importantly, it is a time to share,” said Mayor Stack. “I am proud to continue to serve the community by providing Thanksgiving turkeys to those in need.”

Turkeys are provided by the Brian P. Stack Civic Association and not paid for by taxpayer dollars. Deliveries will take place Saturday through Wednesday in Union City and throughout Hudson County.

  1. Looks like the democrats are securing the votes of the suckers that continue to keep them in power. Free turkeys, free government cheese, but you’re all still poor and living in roach and mouse infested public housing, crime ridden and unsafe cities, and all the while they continue to keep you relying on wasteful, corrupt government. But don’t worry, you’ll keep getting those turkeys for your vote, and continue to remain poor and dependent on those wonderful services. My vote is worth more than a free turkey, isn’t yours?!!

    • You’re generalizing. I’m surprised you got through that word ok! That area has always been a horror show! I used to play Little League in the old Roosevelt Stadium in the late 60’s early 70’s. Summit and Central Ave in the 20’s is a shit hole! Go get your turkey. I bought mine, 2 of them.

    • Wasn’t carteret a junk site! Anyway talking about the 1960, you must be an old man… you must be very uneducated. I on the other hand have several master degrees and a professional living in union city.. why aren’t you helping the poor instead of bitching like a 5 year old girl!
