Fatal shooting on Clinton Avenue in Jersey City

Jersey City Police responded to a call of shots fired on Clinton Avenue at 2:45 am Thursday.

Five minutes later, officers found a male victim with a single gunshot wound to the upper body, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

Suarez says the 28-year-old victim of Jersey City was pronounced dead at the scene.

They have yet to make an arrest in connection with the shooting.

The Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case along with the Jersey City Police Department, Suarez says.
