Hackensack man arrested after found with 450,000 street value of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana

43-year-old Jorge Perez of Hackensack has been arrested and charged with narcotics distribution after an being investigated by Hackensack Police and Bergen County Sheriff’s office, Prosecutor office said.

On Friday, January 6, 2017, while conducting surveillance, police personnel approached Mr. Perez for investigative purposes in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was found to be in possession of one pound of methamphetamine. A subsequent search at his residence and storage facilities yielded an additional six pounds of methamphetamine, approximately twenty grams of cocaine, nine ounces of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Perez was also in possession of $1,271.00. The approximate street value of the drugs seized on this date is $450,000.00.

The defendant was arrested without incident, and was charged with:

One count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely Methamphetamine in a quantity greater than five ounces,

One count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely cocaine, in a quantity greater than one-half ounce but less than five ounces, and;

One count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana in a quantity greater than one ounce but less than five pounds.

Mr. Perez was subsequently remanded to the Bergen County Jail .
