“I came to thank them for supporting me” says Jersey City boy with terminal illness

A 9-year-old boy of Jersey City, Parth Patel with a terminal illness was honored Wednesday afternoon by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department, Jersey City Police Department, Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, FBI, Jersey City Fire Department, Port Authority Police Department  and Jersey City Medical Center.


Parth is currently a student at Jersey City Public School 27 and was honored as a Law Enforcement hero for the day.

Her story about two women who lost their children to heroin was widely recognized, along with her much loved piece on the Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis band camp.
