Jersey City man arrested for allegedly harassing two women and striking a man at a Bus Stop in Bayonne


Brian James Russell, a 34-year-old male from Jersey City  has been arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting arrest and Aggravated Assault, Bayonne Police said.

Police said that Mr Russell was observed striking a male victim as he waited at a bus stop. It was also reported that he was harassing two female victims who were also waiting at the bus stop. Russell resisted arrest by refusing to be handcuffed. Officers administered pepper spray in an attempt to gain control of Russell. One officer was injured while attempting to arrest  Russell and was treated at Bayonne Medical Center.

Mr Russell was taken at 3.35pm from the area of 3rd St and Kennedy Boulevard and He was treated for pepper spray exposure at BMC. The victims from the bus stop left the scene.

Bail was given at $50,000 with 10%.
