Jersey City man arrested for Banking fraud in Hoboken

Jason Smith, 34 year-old man from Jersey City was arrested, on last friday, April 8th for attempting to open a fraudulent account, using fraudulent information. Hoboken Police officers were dispatched to the TD Bank, located on 13th St. and Hudson street on a report of banking fraud.

Mr Smith was recognized as someone who has attempted to open fraudulent accounts in the past with TD Bank.

Mr Smith admitted to the act and was placed under arrest and charged with the following offenses:

Bad Checks

Theft by Deception.

Mr. Smith was released on summons and given a court date to appear.
