This kid lived on my street growing up, not a bad kid , polite , respectful , but not the sharpest crayon in the box, I would say he was a little slow. This is so sad but i dont understand how someone could speed on the blvd on the wrong side he had to been under the influence or dumber than I oroginally thought. Smh. So sad.

Good kid I know him personally, just made some bad decisions in life, I hope the judge has leniency on him, because everyone deserves a second chance,it’s very sad that deaths were involved, and my condolences go out to the family’s of those who passed, but the fact of the matter is that accidents happen, had this been a law inforcement officer who had done this while on duty, they would have received a slap on the rist,I’m not justifying Mr . Patterson’s actions, but if God can forgive than why can’t we?

So glad you said that. That young man who killed the two teens didn’t leave his house with intent to kill people. He needs to be punished for sure. He made extremely bad choices driving like that. I have a 22 year old son. This breaks my heart. Sad for everyone involved in this. Not sure this boy should be punished to the highest extent though. Just saying.

Really? Would you feel the same way if you were a friend of the victims, not the idiot driver? I hope the book is thrown at him, maximum sentences, consecutive terms. He hasn’t had a license since 2012 but chose to drive anyway. He deserves a second chance? For what? To drive again and maybe kill more people? Who ever loaned him this vehicle or registered it for him needs to be charged….not necessarily same charges but something with hefty fines and years of license loss. Maybe then they will appreciate the priviledge of driving. LOL if this was a police officer. If this was a police officer, it would be an accident of a licensed driver paid to protect our lives. All these people saying he shouldn’t be punished to the highest extent of the law don’t realize the pain these posts must cause the victims families and loved ones.
