Magician Mark Zakaria to Do Show at Bayonne Public Library on Thursday, June 30

Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that magician Mark Zakaria will perform at the Bayonne Public Library on Thursday, June 30, at 11:00 a.m., in the second floor gallery.  Mr. Zakaria will present a show entitled Be A Reader.  The show will include astonishing magic tricks, a kazoo orchestra, and audience participation.  The show is open to all ages.  Mayor Davis said, “Reading is fun and important.  I hope that Mark Zakaria’s show at the library will get children excited about reading some great books this summer.”

After the program, please come into the Children’s Room and sign up for the Summer Reading Club.  The club is open to children from Grades Pre-K to 7 who are Bayonne residents.  Participants set a goal of books to read at the beginning of the summer.  They must come in each week to fill out a book log that lists the books they have read.  Prizes will be presented at the end of the reading program in August.

Mark Zakaria presents magic shows at libraries, corporate meetings, and other special events throughout the metropolitan area.  He has also done a show at the New York State Senate in Albany. Mr. Zakaria has been entertaining audiences for more than twenty years, and has taught other performers at magic conventions.

The library is located at 697 Avenue C, at the corner of 31st Street.
