North Brunswick DUI driver had three times the legal limit, Hoboken Police says

Kevin Nielsen, a 26-year-old man from North Brunswick was arrested on Saturday July 23rd in Hoboken after Police saw him driving the wrong way and hitting a parked car.

According to Hoboken PD, Officer Arocho, observed a vehicle driving the wrong way towards him. The vehicle then reversed and struck a parked vehicle causing damage. When officer confronted the driver he noticed that the driver wasn’t able to stand on his own and in addition had glossy eyes, slurred speech and flushed face..

Mr. Nielsen was then taken to headquarters for processing and was found to be 3 times above the legal 0.8 limit. He was given the following summonses:

 

  1. Drivin whilte Intoxicated
  2. Reckless Driving
  3. Wrong Way
  4. Failure to exhibit registration
  5. Driving while intoxicated in School zone.
