Officials confirmed that Mother, Teenager and toddler were struck by a dump truck in Jersey City


Jersey City officials confirmed that A 39-year-old Harrison Avenue woman and her two sons, a 12-year-old and 1-year-old, were struck by a dump truck today just before 3:30 p.m. on West Side and Harrison Avenues. Initial Police chatters reported that only an adult and a toddler were struck until a few minutes now.

None of the injuries were serious. The mother complained of pain to her hands and knees, the 12-year-old scratches to his legs, and the toddler bruises and scrapes to his forehead.

All three individuals were transported to the Jersey CIty Medical Center-Barnabas Health. The driver, a 33-year-old Newark man, was issued summonses for careless driving and failure to yield.
