Port Authority Police Arrest Four for Robbery at PATH Journal Square Parking lot

On 3/29/2016 at about 11:50 pm the victim, a 33 year old Hoboken man reported to Port Authority Police that he had been at the station entrance when he was approached and surrounded by the suspects. The suspects told the complainant “give us your money.” When the complaint refused he was punched in the jaw and placed in a choke hold by the suspects. His clothes were ripped in the encounter by the suspects who went on  to forcefully remove his wallet, backpack. glasses and silver metal ring. The victim asked for his property back and was given back his glasses and wallet but the suspects had removed $60.00 from the victim’s wallet.  PATH patrol officers responded to the scene. After they were furnished a description, they canvassed the area. All four suspects were stopped in front of a Dunkin Donuts on Summit Ave and Magnolia Ave in Jersey City by Port Authority Police. The complainant’s backpack containing mail addressed to the victim was recovered from the suspects as well as the victim’s ring (white metal). The suspects were placed under arrest and transported back to the PATH Police command. During the search of the suspects the complainants silver ring was found in the pocket of suspect number 2. The victim’s money  was not recovered.  EMS was notified and the victim declined  medical attention.

Suspect 4:  Mr. Kyle Barnes 9/23/1967 145 42 st Union NJ Robbery/Conspiracy
