Woman arrested at Hoboken TD Bank after trying to withdraw $5,000 with a fake ID and Fraudulent Credit Card

Samantha Wedderburn, a 28-year-old woman from Bronx New York has been arrested with multiple charges after attempting to withdraw money with a fake ID and a fraudulent credit card, Hoboken Police says.

On October 11th around around 1.30pm Officers were dispatched to the TD Bank located at 13th Hudson Street to meet an on duty Port Authority Officer regarding an incident that took place inside the bank. Officers arrived and spoke with on duty Port Authority Officer, Sgt Kelliher. The Port Authority Officer advised our Hoboken Officers that the incident involved Identity Theft by a female suspect. The defendant attempted to withdraw funds by producing a fraudulent New York Driver’s License and a TD bank withdrawal slip for the $5000.00.

The bank employee was able to identify the license as a fake and advised the officer on scene who detained the defendant until Hoboken Officers arrived.

Ms Wedderburn has been charged with Criminal Attempt Theft by Deception, False Government Documents (2 counts), Identity Theft, Forgery, Uttering, Credit Card Theft

She was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing.

Bail: She was given a summons and a court date to appear in Superior Court
