Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Monday that a 20-year old, West New York man has been charged with making sexual contact with a female juvenile.
According to a press release from the Prosecutor’s Office, “On Friday, June 20, 2025, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested a West New York man after making sexual contact with a juvenile.”
20-year old Victor ConsiguaSaloj is charged with sexual assault by contact, a crime of the second degree, and endangering the welfare of a child, a crime of the third degree. He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
The press release continues, “Shortly after 6 p.m., the West New York Police Department was notified that a 12-year-old female juvenile was groped by an unknown male in the area of Bergenline Avenue and 58th Street. Responding officers located the victim, a guardian, and a witness who positively identified the defendant and he was immediately taken into custody.”
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
The charges against ConsiguaSaloj are accusations at this time and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
