$20,000 Bail for Drug User with Multiple Warrants after he was caught in Hoboken

hobokenpdJoseph R. Riegler, Age 54 of Jersey City NJ has been charged with Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession of CDS Crack/Cocaine and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia after he was caught smoking what appeared to be CDS, Hoboken Police said in a Press Release.

Detectives observed the defendant in the area of 2nd and Monroe Street. They were able to observe the defendant light and begin to smoke what they believed to be CDS. The Detectives approached the defendant who in turn concealed a glass pipe and lighter. They immediately placed him under arrest once they confirmed the use of CDS. A search revealed the defendant to have (9) bags of Heroin and (3) bags of crack/cocaine along with the glass pipe used to smoke the CDS. He was transported to headquarters for processing where he was found to have multiple outstanding warrants from several jurisdictions.

The defendant was also found with outstanding Warrants from Union County Sheriff, Bayonne, Newark, New Providence and Jersey City.

The defendant was processed and warrant complaints prepared. A bail of $20,000 full was assessed. He was not able to post and was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
