20-year-old Luis Williams from Jersey City was arrested on August 6th, and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana w/intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana w/intent to Distribute in School zone, Prohibited Weapons (Hollow Point Bullets), Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of CDS Prescription
Officers were dispatched to the area of 500 Adams Street on a call of an overturned car. Officers arrive and observe a 2010 Dodge overturned in front of 511 Adam Street. Driver was outside of the vehicle with injuries to nose and eye. He was transported to the Hoboken University Medical Center for treatment. The driver was traveling north on Adams St when he struck several parked vehicles causing his to overturn. It is unknown exactly what caused the accident. The officers investigating the accident observed outside of the vehicle a broken cigar with what appeared to be CDS Marijuana. Inside the car was another cigar with suspected CDS marijuana and two prescription pills not in its container along with (4) .38 special Hollow Point Bullets. He was placed under arrest at the hospital by uniformed officers. Officers conducted a search of his person after arrest and found one clear zip lock bag which contained suspected CDS Marijuana and $276.00 in us currency. Detective William Collins determined the weight of the Marijuana to be approximately over 4 ounces with a street value of approximately $600.00
Bail: All charges were placed on a Summons and he was released with a future court date..
