It was a wonderful evening in Weehawken on Sunday, as the municipality lit its Christmas tree.  Several hundred residents joined the Mayor and members of the Council in ringing in the holiday season.

Entertainment was provided by the Weehawken High School Band and its Chorus, as well as students in the Roosevelt School Chorus.
Hot chocolate and cookies were provided, and everyone had smiles on their faces as the holiday season is in full swing.
Township children can drop off letters to Santa Claus by placing them in the special Santa Mail Box located next to the town Christmas tree, between the helix roadway into the Lincoln Tunnel and the Town Hall building.
Mayor Richard Turner and members of the Township Council wished everyone a healthy and safe holiday, and a happy New Year.
