7-year-old Franklin Miranda of Union City loses Battle to Cancer

Earlier today, the Union City community, including members of the local police department, friends and loved ones, honored 7-year-old Franklin Miranda who died from cancer this past Saturday, January 26, at home surrounded by his family. The funeral was held at the Spanish American Baptist Church on 44th street in Union City.

Viewers may remember the story Hudson TV produced on October 20 from Union Hill Middle School in Union City, where police officers from North Hudson, the sheriff’s department, school officials and loved ones celebrated his birthday. On that memorable day, this bright, kind little boy was named police officer for the day.
