7th Annual Theater Festival “Comedias” Set to Begin in Union City

UNION CITY, NJ – The much-anticipated 7th Annual Theater Festival “Comedias” is set to commence tomorrow, Thursday, September 7th, 2023, at the William V. Musto Cultural Center located at 420-15 Street, Union City, New Jersey. The event, which promises a lineup of captivating performances, is being presented in Spanish and is free for all attendees.

Mayor Brian P. Stack, along with the Board of Commissioners, has collaborated with TEBA Theater to bring this event to life. The festival will kick off at 7:30 PM with TEBA Theatre’s presentation titled “RIMENTAL,” followed by the intriguing show “The Hanged Man Doesn’t Choose His Rope” by Juan Guzmán.

The festivities continue on Friday, September 8th, with another TEBA Theatre presentation at 7:30 PM. On Saturday, September 9th, at 7:00 PM, CCN USA will present “Closed Windows,” a play written by José Manuel Freidel and directed by José A. Bonilla.

The festival’s lineup also includes “The Wedding,” a play written by Carlos Canales and directed by Héctor Luis Rivera. The event will conclude on Sunday, September 10th, at 3:00 PM with CIA Fragal’s presentation of “A Joking Stork,” an adaptation of André Rousin’s work, directed by Franco Galecio.
