West New York to Participate in 2020 USDA Summer Food Service Program

Free Meals for West New York Children, Regardless of Income Level

West New York, N.J. — The Town of West New York will be participating in the 2020 Summer Food Service Program from July 6, 2020 to August 14, 2020. The Summer Food Service Program is a federal program of the Food and Nutrition Services, United States Department of Agriculture. This program provides all children 18 years of age and under that are enrolled in the West New York Recreation Summer Program with the same free meal in accordance with a menu approved by the state agency.

“It is imperative that our children receive proper nutrition while they attend our Recreation Summer Program,” said West New York Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez. “This program will provide free meals for West New York children at all of our Summer Program locations regardless of their parents’ income level.”

The West New York Recreation Summer Program will be providing free meals at all of their locations which include: Donnelly Memorial Park, Fillmore Park, Washington Park, Dewey Park, Miller Stadium and the West New York Public Library.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
