The latest statistics provided by the Hoboken Health Department show that the majority of the city’s new, COVID-19 cases reflect the trend being seen across the country.  Most of those testing positive for the virus are under the age of 35.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, Hoboken had a total of 634 known, confirmed cases of coronavirus, with four new cases being reported each day from July 9 through July 11.  The city reports there have been no, new fatalities, with the number of deaths remaining at 29.

The Hoboken Health Department continues doing contact tracing on every confirmed case. In addition to the Health Department’s contact tracing, Mayor Ravi Bhalla is asking all residents who test positive to follow up with their own contact tracing.   Bhalla urges anyone who may have been in contact with you to self-quarantine for a full 14 days and get tested at least 5-7 days after their exposure to you.  In addition, the Mayor asks all residents who receive a call from the city’s Health Department to return any message and speak to a health officer without delay so they can provide important information to you regarding health procedures.
