She has yet to name any of her four, Council running mates, but Bayonne Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski this morning released her first campaign video, as she looks to unseat incumbent Mayor Jimmy Davis.

Sending out her campaign’s first wave of introductory material, Ashe-Nadrowski released not only her first video, but a mailer and introduction email over the recent holiday weekend.  In her email, Ashe-Nadrowski addressed Bayonne voters, pressing the need for a change of leadership at City Hall.

“I am running to be your next Mayor because Bayonne deserves a leader that works for everyone, not just the well-connected.  A leader who isn’t afraid of open and honest conversation about the things that really matter. I believe good government isn’t just about telling people what is going on, it’s about really listening to the needs and concerns of residents. Concerns like crime, flooding, infrastructure, development, water bills, education, and a host of others. We need to work together to rebuild our sense of community, bring accountability and transparency back to City Hall, and get our local government back where it belongs: in the hands of the people who call Bayonne home.”

Ashe-Nadrowski will announce her slate of City Council candidates over the next week. The Bayonne Municipal Election will take place on May 10, 2022.

Meanwhile, Mayor Davis will be holding his campaign kickoff tomorrow night at the Chandelier Restaurant, 1081 Broadway, beginning at 6 pm.  Tickets are $150.
