With school underway, there is some new, administrative leadership at four schools in West New York, as well as a new, district Supervisor for Mathematics. Hudson TV spoke with the individuals involved to learn what their priorities were for the ’24-’25 school year.
There are two new principals in the district, as well as two new assistant principals. Kelly Jameson takes over as principal at the Middle School after spending more than a decade as the building’s assistant principal. Adam Parkinson, a former WNY BOE President and current Town Commissioner, transfers over from the Weehawken school system to become the new principal at School #5.

There are new assistant principals at the Albio Sires Elementary School, Matthew Seta, and at the Harry L. Bain School, Yesenia Rodas, both being former teachers earlier in their careers.

Superintendent of Schools Clara Brito Herrera says she’s extremely happy with each of the new hires. All bring a world of experience and professionalism to their new roles.
The district also has a new Supervisor of Mathematics, Sergio Londono, who graduated through the West New York school system. All five individuals say their top priorities are good communication with parents, staff and fellow administrators, plus doing the absolute best possible for the education of the students within their school buildings.
The total enrollment of the West New York school system is approximately 8,600 students.
