It’s a heartwarming tale. “She Kills Monsters.” A little sword fighting. A game of Dungeons & Dragons. You know…a comedy with an important message. And it’s being staged next week at Weehawken High School.
30 students in grades 7 through 12 are part of the production, 22 of them being actors.

The play was written by Qui Nguyen. It tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. It is centered around Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, which Agnes finds. Agnes is thrust into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge.

There will be two performances of “She Kills Monsters,” both at 7 pm on November 22nd and 23rd at Weehawken High School. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased online at weehawkenhstheater.org.
You don’t have to be a Dungeons & Dragons’ fan to appreciate this comedic production.
