A 34-year old Jersey City woman has been charged in connection to a Kearny motor vehicle crash last November which critically injured a man from Pennsylvania. According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit has arrested a female driver involved in the crash that happened on Friday, November 15, 2024.
Maria Molesky has been charged with aggravated assault and assault by auto. She was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus on Thursday, March 13, 2025, and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending her first court appearance.
A press release from the Prosecutor’s Office states that, “At approximately 12:30 a.m. on November 15, 2024, the Kearny Police Department was notified of a collision in the area of Newark-Jersey City Turnpike and Fish House Road. Responding officers located a Jeep Compass, driven by Molesky, which had struck a Ford F-150. The driver of the Ford, a 56-year-old Pennsylvania male, suffered serious injuries. During the preliminary investigation, the Kearny Police Department arrested Molesky and issued motor vehicle summonses for Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated.”
According to Suarez the charges against Molesky are merely accusations and she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
