WEST NEW YORK – A West New York man who was arrested earlier this month for assaulting an officer has been arrested again, for the same reason, officials said.
On February 20th at around 5:30 p.m. Officers Cirri and Alvarez responded to 428 60th St. on report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance inside the building. Upon arrival, officers met with a resident who stated that a male on the 4th floor was throwing things and yelling in the hallway. Officers went to the 4th floor where they were met with another resident who told police the male was cursing and broke the wreath on his door. It wasn’t until officers went to the 5th floor that they found the male, who shouted at police “Your mom drinks my p—,” and “I hate the West New York police and I’ll f— all of you up,” according to police reports.
Police attempted to escort the male, who continued to shout at the police “I’ll f— both of your mothers,” The male then clenched his fists in an aggressive manner, as if he was preparing to fight, and pushed and kicked Officer Alvarez. When police tried to arrest him he kept resisting and tried kicking them. Police had to forcefully secure him in handcuffs. While in headquarters the male kicked a Detective that was walking by and continued to be aggressive. He spit on the floors and cursed at EMS, who was trying to evaluate him because he had a small cut on his lip and a mark on his face.
Arrested was Arnold Caballero, 24, of West New York. Caballero was just arrested on February 4th for assaulting a West New York Police Officer while he was intoxicated.
