ADDITIONAL CORONAVIRUS TESTING CENTER OPENS IN WEEHAWKEN ON MONDAY, MAY 11, 2020
Weehawken Township, in conjunction with the City of Union City, has set up a new Coronavirus testing center. The Testing Center is located in the parking lot of Tower Plaza Mall (Old ACME) at 4100 Park Avenue, Weehawken, NJ 07086. The Testing Center will be operational on Monday, May 11, 2020, at 9:00 AM.
Testing is available by appointment only for anyone who wishes to be tested. You must be a current Weehawken or Union City resident. The test that will be administered is a nasal swab, which will tell you if you have an active infection of the coronavirus. Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00PM This site has walk up and drive-thru services. Test results will be available in 2 to 5 days.
Residents who wish to be tested need to register and make an appointment online by visiting: NHNJ.US
If a resident does not have online capabilities, they can make an appointment by calling Weehawken Residents 201-773-7630 and for Union City residents: 201-537-5704.
Residents will need to bring proof of address, and if you have medical insurance, please bring your insurance card, the test is free to all residents who don’t have insurance.
You must wear a mask while waiting for your test. Please do not remove your mask at the site until instructed to do so by medical personnel performing the swab test.
We hope to be able to offer antibody testing at this site in the next several weeks when those test kits become more accurate and readily available.
