West New York’s baseball camp is one of several Recreation Department summer programs offered to town children this year.    Each program gives children supervised activities and organized instruction at no cost.

The three week Baseball Camp at Miller Stadium is run by Memorial High School, varsity baseball coach John Rivera, with assistance from some former, Memorial Tigers’ players.

The Baseball Camp, which runs until 3 pm each day, is just one example of the ways the Administration of Mayor Albio Sires is providing supervised fun for some thousand children of the town.

Commissioner Marielka Diaz highlighted the variety of programs for Hudson TV.  They include swimming lessons, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading for the upcoming football season, among other things.

In August the Police Department will hold a Police Leadership Camp for youngsters.
