A new announcement from the city of Bayonne invites residents to read the draft report on the re-examination of the municipality’s Master Plan.

It is available on the left-hand side of the homepage, www.bayonnenj.org — under the title, “City of Bayonne Master Plan.”

DMR Architects drafted the report after a series of meetings and consultations in Bayonne since 2015.

Located in Hasbrouck Heights, architect Lloyd Rosenberg founded DMR in 1991 as a premier full-service architectural, planning and urban design firm dedicated to progressive, innovative and sustainable high-quality design. It has performed professional services in New Jersey, New York, China, Costa Rica, Nigeria and Romania.

After the general public reads the report, they may comment at a Master Plan workshop on Monday, June 26, at 7 pm, in Bayonne City Council Chambers, City Hall, 630 Avenue C.

From development, preservation, transportation and recreation to other aspects of the community’s future, Bayonne’s most recent Master Plan was adopted in 2000.

The main purpose of a Master Plan re-examination is to produce modifications in an existing zoning ordinance, and reflect updated priorities.  Bayonne’s current zoning ordinance was adopted in 2002.
