Bayonne Council Adopts Ordinance to Restructure City Government and Mayor Davis Confirms Law and Finance Directors

(Bayonne, NJ) – Mayor Jimmy Davis issued the following statement upon the City Council’s adoption of an ordinance restructuring City Departments, and the unanimous confirmation of Mayoral nominees for Law Director and Finance Director:

“I am pleased that the City Council unanimously approved the plan I presented to restructure the City government into five Departments. I am confident this move will allow our City to operate more efficiently, and improve the way we serve our residents.

I am particularly proud to announce that part of this reorganization includes the appointment of John F. (Jay) Coffey, II as Director of the Law Department, and Terrence Malloy as Director of the Finance Department. Their combined decades of experience working for the City of Bayonne will continue to be an important part of not only this plan’s success, but also our shared efforts to keep moving Bayonne in the right direction. I thank the City Council for their unanimous votes of confirmation of these qualified and dedicated public servants.
