The Bayonne Historical Society has announced it will host a presentation by the Director of the African American History Museum of Jersey City on Tuesday, March 18th. Historical Society President Lee Fahley says Neal Brunson, Director of the African American History Museum of Jersey City, will do a presentation on Black History in New Jersey at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place in the second-floor gallery in the Bayonne Free Public Library, which is located at 31st Street and Avenue C.
Historical Society President Fahley said, “We would like to thank Mr. Brunson for coming to Bayonne. African American history in New Jersey dates to the 1600’s. We look forward to learning about this important part of New Jersey history.”
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided by members of the Bayonne Women’s Club.
