Bayonne man arrested and charged after threatening officers with aggressive dogs

Nickolas Dilone of Bayonne was involved in a reported altercation with a family member at a residence on West 28th street in Bayonne.

During police questioning, both Nickolas and the other party involved both became hostile towards the cops. Dilone threatened the police officers with his pitbull and rottweiler. He positioned the pitbull in a threatening position, and released its’ collar encouraging the dog to attack the officers. However, another family member jumped in and was able to gain control of the dog before it reached them.

After being told he was going to be placed under arrest, Dilone retreated back into the residence locking the door behind him to avoid custody. He was later arrested after an arrest warrant was assigned and was charged with 2 counts of aggressive assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and resisting arrest.
