On March 18, 2024, Bayonne resident Robert C. Crute was arrested by the Bayonne Police Department on charges of lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest came after a report of a male, later identified as Crute, exposing and fondling his genitals in public as he was walking on Avenue C. The incident was witnessed by a 13-year-old child and the child’s father.
Following an on-scene investigation, Crute was positively identified as the actor and was taken into custody. In addition to the initial charges of lewdness, Crute was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
