Bayonne Museum to Host Patriotic Art Show & Veterans’ Day Ceremony

Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that the American Pride Patriotic Art Show and the Bayonne Veterans’ Day Ceremony will take place at the Bayonne Community Museum in November.  The art show, a tribute to the American veteran, will feature several works of art by Bayonne artist Anthony Sienkiewicz.  All of the art will feature scenes from America’s wars from the Revolution to more recent conflicts.  The show will have its grand opening on Monday, November 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.   The art will also be open to the public on other dates, Wednesday, November 9, and Thursday, November 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Sienkiewicz is a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  He has won several awards in senior citizen art shows at the state and county levels.  Mayor Davis said, “I would like to thank Mr. Sienkiewicz for creating works of art that depict some of the most important events in our national history.  He has produced images that will remind us of the sacrifices of veterans past and present during this Veterans’ Day season.  I would like to encourage our residents to ccome out to see the American Pride Patriotic Art Show.”

The Veterans’ Day Ceremony will take place at the museum on Friday, November 11, at 6:00 p.m.   (Please note that this ceremony has been moved from its previous location at City Hall, in order to coincide with the art show at the museum.)

The art exhibit is curated by Bohoyoga of Bayonne.
