Bayonne Resident Arrested for Jewelry Store Robbery

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a robbery that took place last week at a Bayonne Jewelry Store.

Terrance Sheppard from East 21st St was taken into custody around 4.20pm on March 4 after an anonymous citizen provided information on his whereabouts.

According to Bayonne Police, Sheppard and a female accomplice removed a gold necklace valued at $2500 from Good Shepard Jewelry Store located at 677 Broadway. It was said that Sheppard fled the store on foot while the female accomplice  attempted to stop an employee by blocking him and struggling with him.

Bayonne Police also said that female identity is still under investigation.

The suspect was charged with conspiracy, robbery and criminal mischief.

He was remanded to the Hudson County Jail.
