There are over 40 million Americans providing care in the U.S. for family members and loved ones. Providing care for others whether in old age or medical conditions is not an easy task and is sometimes overlooked.
Michelle Melendez is the founder of the event and found that in her own personal experiences that there were not enough information for people in the community that were caregiving for loved ones.
She felt that it was important to help raise awarness and build a platform for issues cargivers may have and provide support and informational resources to caregivers.
Alot of vendors came out to support and were happy to help get the information out to the public by providing information about services.
Some of the vendors that were there included Armas Home Care which distributes home health care Aides, Armas Realty, Hyacinth AIDS foundation, and The Northeast New Jersey legal servies just to name a few.
The event turned out to be very successful. Even councilman at large Juan Perez came out to help show his support. This was the first of an annual event that Michelle Melendez hopes to keep growing in order to help build more awareness for the community and really help anyone in need.
