Bergen Square Revitalization Project Begins in Jersey City
Jersey City, NJ – Mayor Steven M. Fulop, accompanied by city officials and community representatives, will mark the start of the Bergen Square revitalization project tomorrow. This initiative is set to introduce enhancements to the area between McGinley and Journal Square.
The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 886 Bergen Avenue. The project has been developed in collaboration with the city’s residents and aims to introduce public spaces to the locale.
Bergen Square has historical significance that spans thousands of years. The revitalization project seeks to emphasize this history while introducing modern amenities to the area.
Attendees will include Mayor Steven M. Fulop, members of the City Council, representatives from the Journal Square Special Improvement District, the Journal Square Community Association History Committee, and local Jersey City residents.
