The Black Student Union at Weehawken High School concluded its celebration of Black History Month on Tuesday afternoon with a fashion show, with students strutting their stuff on the runway.
Approximately fifty students dressed up “thematically,” representing winter, spring, business and Miami Vice…you remember the old NBC TV hit of the 1980s. Don Johnson, Philip Michael Thomas, portraying Metro-Dade Police Department Detectives working undercover in Miami. Crockett? Tubbs? Oh come on. Google it people.
Anyway, the students got to express themselves through fashion. They walked the runway to screams from their fellow students, expressing the diversity which is Hudson County, after all.
It was a fun afternoon and a wonderful exercise for everyone involved.
