State Police Composite Sketch Leads to Identification of Body Recovered in Hudson River
The New Jersey State Police Forensic Photography and Composite Artist Unit created a composite sketch of a female victim, whose body was recovered from the Hudson River in Hoboken, N.J. on October 1, 2019.
On October 21, we sought the public’s assistance with identifying the female victim.
After seeing the composite sketch, members of the NYPD contacted detectives from the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office about the investigation. As a result of the sketch, detectives were able to positively identify the victim as Debra King, 62, of the Bronx, N.Y., who was reported missing on September 23.
The details and circumstances surrounding the victim’s death remain under investigation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family, and it is our hope that this continues to aid in the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345 or visit www.hudsoncountyprosecutorsofficenj.org/homicide-tip/.
