Chris Christie is expected to resign as New Jersey Governor imminently once details of a position in the White House are ironed out.
The New York Post reports Christie has been telling friends and family he will be taking a White House position.
Christie would have to resign, which would make Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno the interim governor for the remainder of his term which ends the end of 2017.
Guadagno would presumably become the odds on favorite to win the Republican nomination for Governor. She formally announced her candidacy last month.
