Jersey City Incident: Man Arrested for Sexual Assault
In a recent update from Hudson County, Raul Pena, a 31-year-old resident of Brooklyn, has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault case in Jersey City. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit took Pena into custody on September 28, 2023.
The incident in question took place on August 20, 2023, at a residence in Jersey City. The 29-year-old female victim reportedly met Pena through a mutual acquaintance shortly before the assault occurred.
Pena now faces charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, a first-degree crime. With the collaborative efforts of the NYPD Special Victims Unit, he was apprehended at his Brooklyn home. Currently, Pena is held at Brooklyn Central Booking and awaits extradition to New Jersey.
