Brooklyn Man Charged In Hoboken Death by Auto

Mark T. Nicholas, age 51, from Brooklyn, NY, has been indicted by a grand jury on February 28, 2017, charging him with the second degree crime of Death By Auto and the second degree crime of Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Death of Ramsey man in Hoboken.

Nicholas was allegedly the driver of a black Cadillac Escalade that struck and killed Zackhary Simmons at the corner of Willow and 6th Street in Hoboken on June 25, 2016. The 21-year-old from Ramsey was struck as he crossed Willow Street at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Nicholas is scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court in Hudson County on March 13, 2017.
