Celebrate A Decade Of Laughs in Hoboken, The 10th Annual Hoboken Comedy Festival Starts Sept 30th


What would Hoboken be without it’s amazingly talented acts?

This year is no different, with 13 shows and more than 90 comedians to enjoy throughout the 7 day festival. For Hoboken’s 10th year they have certainly outdone themselves with the headliners.

Starting off Monday the right way with the hilariously brilliant Gina Brillion, actor writer poet and comedian extraordinaire who’s been doing stand up since the age of 17. Gina is known for her appearances on Comedy Central’s ‘Live at Gotham’ and Chelsea Lately’s AXC Gotham Comedy Central Live.

Venue: Willie McBride’s, 616 Grand Street

On Tuesday night catch the “awkward delight”, Daniel Simonsen. Daniel gained notoriety performing in Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival, which he has been performing at since 2009. He is also known as actor starring in ‘Timewasters’ (2017) and ‘House Of Fools” (2014)

Daniel has made appearances on Russell Howard’s Good News (2012) and has even done stand up performances on NBC’s ‘The Late Show with Seth Meyers’ and CBS’s ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’

Daniel will be performing on Tuesday 1st October at 8pm

Brooklyn’s very own Mike Britt will be a show not to miss on Wednesday. Mikes comedy career started in Harlem’s Uptown Comedy Club. Since then he has appeared on ‘Comedy Central Presents’, starred in BETS ‘Comicview’, VH1’s ‘Best Week Ever’ and also is known for being the singer in ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ theme song.

Actor, writer and director Nick Callas headlines Thursday nights festival. Nick has featured on ‘NY’s Funniest’ on SeeSo and has starred in Music Choices ‘Questionable Choices.’ Nick has even created cartoon content for a Comedy Central and videos for Elite Daily.

Friday’s festival stars Keith Alberstadt (8pm), Krystyna Hutchinson (10pm) and Dan Frigolette (Midnight)

Keith is the face of Hoboken’s Comedy Festival first ever PG13 show. David Letterman once referred to Keith as “A very funny fellow” and that he is. Keith has been a freelance writer for ‘Saturday Night Live’ and also has been a monologue joke freelance writer for Jimmy Fallon. Keith has starred on ‘The Late Late Show with Seth Meyers’ and of course’

Comedian, writer and actor Krystyna Hutchinson will be taking the stage by storm on Friday night. Krystyna has had roles in film, television and has starred in off broadway theatre. Krystyna is bold, confident, and playful and is commonly known for being the other half of the comedic duo ‘Sorry About Last Night.’ She is co author of “Fucked: Being Sexually Explorative and Self Confident In A World That’s Screwed.’ Krystyna is also co host of podcast ‘Guys We’ve Fucked.’

Lastly on Friday night, is the brains behind the Hoboken Comedy Festival Dan Frigolette. Dan is a comedian, actor and has been seen on HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire’, ‘Show Me A Hero’ and ‘Sexy Beasts.’ Dan has been apart of NJFunnyFest, ‘Make Me Laugh Comedy Festival’ and ‘Comedy’s Best Kept Secret.’Dan is outrageous and energetic in the best way. Dan is also the creator and host of hit podcast ‘Pornstars Are People.’

Nimesh Patel will be headlining on Saturday night at 8pm. Nimesh is not only a comedian but also a television writer for ‘Saturday Night Live’. Nimesh was a finalist in Kevin Hart’s ‘Laugh Out Loud Network Pitch Panel’ at ‘Just For Laughs ComedyPro’. Nimesh has even joined forces with Chris Rock’s writing team for the 88th Academy Awards Ceremony. Nimesh notably has appeared on ‘Comedy Knockout’ and ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’.

Drew Michael best known for his self titled HBO special show which VICE coined the “polarizing stand up special of the year”. Drew was also a writer for ‘Saturday Night Live’ and has featured in ‘Comedy Central’s Stand Up’

Venue: Studio L, Hoboken, 505 Madison StreetMatt Richards will be closing the festival on Saturday night. Matt is nott only a comedian but a magician and a hypnotist. Matt is well known as a host of ‘HQ Trivia’. He was a cast member of MTV’s ‘Joking off’. Starred in movies such as the ‘Last Conception’ and tv series ‘2 Broke Girls.’ Matt was also selected as a new face character 2018 for the prestigious ‘Just For Laughs’ festival in Montreal. He also stars in Nickledons ‘School of Rock’

Sunday shows talent Brett Druck. Brett is smart, witty and also the winner of Hoboken festival 2015. He has featured in TBS ‘Just For Laughs’ Chicago and San Francisco’s ‘Sketchfest’.

Brett was a finalist for the Andy Kaufman Award and a cast member and guest host on ‘The Laughs’ tv show seasons 2 & 3 on FOX.
