With the warmer weather here, Union City Mayor Brian Stack and Police Chief Anthony Facchini are once again holding twice nightly, four days a week, Community Police Meetings throughout the city.  The meetings are a way for the Mayor and the Police Department to hear the concerns and suggestions of local residents.  The first meeting was held this evening, July 3rd.

The meetings are something Mayor Stack has been doing ever since he took office in City Hall many years ago.

Stack says the meetings “are not just lip service.”  The Administration and the Police Chief take the information they receive from the public very seriously, and in many instances, the city institutes the public’s suggestions.

The community police meetings are advertised on the city website in advance,  They rotate around the municipality so all neighborhoods can be addressed.
