Due to the extremely cold weather expected beginning today, Mayor Jimmy Davis and Mayor Brian Stack have announced the opening of warming centers in Bayonne and Union City for residents seeking shelter from the cold weather on Thursday, December 15th and Friday, December 16th.
In Bayonne, 56th Street and Avenue B, The Senior Center will serve as a warming center on the following times;
Thursday, December 15, at 3:00 p.m. through Friday, December 16, at 8:00 a.m.; and from Friday, December 16, at 3:00 p.m. through Saturday, December 17, at 8:00 a.m.
In Union City
- William V. Musto Center (420 15th Street) from 8 AM to 8 PM
- Senior Citizen Building (3700 Palisade Avenue) from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Bayonne and Union City residents in need should visit the warming centers to avoid prolonged exposure to the extreme temperatures.
