Fatal Halloween Motorcycle Crash In Jersey City Under Investigation

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a fatal Halloween morning motorcycle crash that occurred in Jersey City at approximately 8:55.

According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a collision involving a motorcycle in the area of Sip Avenue and Routes 1&9. Responding police officers found that a motorcycle and a GMC passenger vehicle had collided near the intersection. The injured motorcyclist – later identified as 43-year old Jersey City resident Steven Brown – was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 10 a.m.
