Tonight at 6 p.m. is the final draft design concept meeting for Hoboken’s Maritime Park.  The Maritime Park project team will unveil the design at the Multi-Service Center, located  at 124 Grand Street.

Project consultants Dattner Architects and SCAPE developed the final concept design based upon previous public input on the initial three design alternatives.  That information was obtained through community and stakeholder meetings and survey responses.

The proposed Maritime will be located on the site of the former Union Dry Dock, which was purchased by the city.  The Maritime Park will complete Hoboken’s missing link in the New Jersey Waterfront Walkway, creating a continuous walkway along the Hudson River, from Pier A, adjacent to Lackawanna Terminal, all the way up to the Weehawken Cove.

After tonight’s presentation, residents can participate in topic-focused discussions with the project team to provide their input on the final concept design.  The design concept will  then be presented to the Hoboken Planning Board and then the City Council for approval in November.
