Fire on Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, and Paterson Fire Chief Brian McDermott announce that at approximately 10:05 p.m., on Monday November 18, 2019, police and fire personnel responded to a report of a fire condition at 239 and 241 Rosa Parks Boulevard, in the City of Paterson. The fire was reported as being a four (4) alarm fire and originating in the structure at 241 Rosa Parks Boulevard. 241 Rosa Parks Boulevard is a mixed commercial and residential building with multiple apartments. This structure was reported vacant. The structure at 239 Rosa Parks Boulevard consists of a three story, three family residential building. All occupants were able to safely evacuate, and at this time, ten (10) people have been displaced.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
