— The Borough of Fort Lee has announced an employment opportunity for individuals interested in a career in emergency services. A full-time position for a Public Safety Telecommunicator (911 Dispatcher) is currently open, offering a 40-hour work week with a starting salary of $48,850.

The role involves receiving and responding to telephone or electronic requests for emergency assistance, including law enforcement, fire, medical services, and dispatching units to response sites. The position also includes performing other related duties as required.

Candidates are required to complete training and obtain certification by the Office of Emergency Telecommunication Services (OETS) in the Department of Law and Public Safety as mandated by NJAC 1 7 : 2 4 – 2 . 2, during the trainee period. All appointees will be required to undergo and pass a background clearance check.
