Free shuttle bus service will be provided to minimize impact on travelers
Beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, through 7 a.m. Sunday, September 22, service on AirTrain Newark will be suspended to allow for scheduled maintenance of the AirTrain system.
During the full shutdown, the Port Authority will provide free shuttle buses between Newark Liberty International Airport’s rail link station and Terminals A, B and C, and the P2, P3 and P4 parking lots.
This temporary service shutdown will not affect NJ Transit or Amtrak service.
Passengers and airport employees are advised to allow extra time when traveling to and from Newark Liberty during the scheduled maintenance. Additional airport Customer Care representatives, AirTrain and other Port Authority staff will be on duty to provide information for passengers during the service suspension.
