October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this Saturday the Guttenberg Police Department held their second annual walk for Breast Cancer.
Unfortunately, the turn out was smaller than expected due to the rain and poor weather. Still, many participated and showed support for the fight against breast cancer.
T-Shirts, bracelets, hats and more were sold to raise funds for cancer research.
According to research, breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women and about 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. It is important we come together as a community and continue to spread awareness, each year.
